I controversially think electron is a good thing for desktop gui software. Not that sluggish Javascript turds are a good thing but just because that's the best option we've got. You can't argue that, say, discord doesn't have a good, portable gui. Albeit in the form of a giant Javascript turd.

If we're ever going to leave Javascript turds behind, someone's going to need to field a good replacement instead of just bitching. Idk maybe it's Display Postscript's time to shine.
