This is a photo taken by my father while waiting in traffic on Canal Street in New Orleans c. 1963. Notice the 1958 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon on the right side of the frame. Parked behind it is a 1963 Mercury Comet. There's the famous Woolworth’s store sign down the street on the right where the first lunch counter sit-in in New Orleans occurred on September 9, 1960. The iconic Maison Blanche building is visible in profile. #NOLA
