When my 4K TV died, I needed a work monitor ASAP so I went and bought the monitor thinking it would be an improvement.
For my older eyes, it was a big step down - the DPI was too dense, so I had to zoom 150% to be able to use it. This roughly halved the usable screen space.
I went back to a 43" 4K TV. Costs about half as much; gives me about twice as much.
