I think it may have been someone here on mastodon that recommended "The Diplomat." Just finished the end of season 2, and it is very well done.

Strong female lead character, strong supporting cast. Snappy writing and fast paced story.

Politics themed, so may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it
