Holy crap... This little beast pumps! Sparkle Intel Arc A310 Eco. 50W TDP, and can draw what it needs directly from the PCIe supply, no external power required. AV1 encoding is glorious. Perceptual loss is minimal, and file sizes are about 70% smaller than h.264 for roughly equivalent quality, especially when combined with Opus for audio.
Took a little kajiggering to get it working right with ffmpeg, but damned if it doesn't fly through encoding tasks.
Just make sure to enable Resizable BAR in your BIOS to take full advantage of it.
By comparison to my old nVidia Quadro P2000, it's far and away the better of the two. Encoding; running a Media Server; Tranescoding on the fly... Well worth the $200 I paid, considering the P2000 still sells for $400 Second Hand here...
