I have yet to see any analysis about what happens if the speaker-less house is a long term problem - everything I have seen suggests it will resolve itself in a timeline measured in days or weeks. I fear that the people with the power to prolong this crisis have many incentives to do so. Crippling the US government's ability to function in general, and preventing aid to Ukraine for as long as possible specifically are both high on the agendas of the people responsible for this crisis. #politics
