Also, side note, I made a huuuuge difference to my oral health by making very minor changes.
Step 1: realise the issue.
I hated how electric toothbrushes make my nose tickle, and you can't walk off or sit down or do something else with 2 hands because you can't clamp your electric toothbrush in your mouth. It's too heavy and it vibrates.
Solution: a non-electric toothbrush.
Step 2: overcoming the time constraint.
2 mins was timed on the electric toothbrush and I just wanted to stop as soon as it started. So I'd tell myself I didn't have time and therefore never did my teeth.
Solution: a 3-headed non-electric toothbrush that I stare at when I sit down to wee.
3-headed means more of the tooth is brushed at once. So if I rush it in 10 seconds then I've covered way more than I would with a regular toothbrush. And by having it in my eyeline when I wee, I can pick it up and multitask.
I haven't set any goals or targets, but just by having a non-electric toothbrush in my eyeline, I'm naturally brushing them almost once a day.
Is it the best for my oral health? Nope! Is it better than possibly maybe brushing once a month with a properly good electric toothbrush? Yep!
We ain't going for perfect. Just better.
