While looking at the hoagie buns at the grocery store, I couldn't find any with ingredients I'm happy with. Why do soybean oil, canola oil and corn syrup need to be in there????

So, here I am making hoagie buns for the kids' "subway sandwiches". 6 ingredients has absolutely got to be better than 20+.

Flour
Water
Yeast
Salt
Sugar
Lard

They're "proofing" now, so we'll see how they turn out....
