Literature criticism should teach you that there's lots of ways to think about a subject, but some are less supportable with evidence and proper reasoning than others and that matters. And focusing on just one perspective is a mistake as well. And it does this by talking about fiction together instead of reality which should be less controversial for a variety of students, while this lesson should be applied to civic concerns. I worry that we are not making this connection today. #LiberalValues
