Astronomers have wrapped up what they believe is the largest computer simulation of the Universe ever run. Called FLAMINGO, the simulation recreates a cube of the Universe 9.1 billion light-years across, incorporating everything known, including ordinary matter, neutrinos, dark matter, and dark energy. They used the combined power of 30,000 CPUs to simulate 300 billion separate galaxies in the volume of space.
