I'm seriously considering buying a crushed, cubed car and turning it into a coffee table. I feel like a few grand is a reasonable price to pay for something that'd last essentially forever and I'd always think is cool.

I think I'd just want to carve some hard rubber pads to sit level, and then add a sheet of good glass over the top of it so you can look down at the wreckage.
