There is absolutely no colour to be seen today. The whole world has been muted, or so it seems.

But, I have been and foraged for food, and have come back with a crispy serrano ham blt sandwich from the spanish deli; a whole new supply of spices from the new international grocers on the same street, and perhaps the biggest custard danish pastry I have ever seen in my life.
