the reason people do this, at least in poast nitter's case is to bypass restrictions in place for ips, user agents etc. there are limits in place per user that most normal users wont ever trigger that will get them blocked from the nitter for 1 minute, 3 minutes, 6 minutes, 12, so on until it's permanent after 3 days. when you misrepresent yourself when making a request to the poast nitter i have to expect that your purpose is to bypass these very lax restrictions, which 100% the time that's what it is, so they get beaned too

i am a lot more effective at blocking the bot spam than twitter was because it's been a slow trickle and i've learned the methods, behaviors and actions of the users doing it now so i can spot it pretty quick
