I know some cars support unlocking with your smartphone, and I would indeed expect that to fail without internet, but can't that use the internet on your phone if your home internet is done? Or was your phone internet down as well? Or are we talking about some other kind of electronic car key? That just sounds really bizarre and makes me worry about out future as a species. ;-)",
