OpenSCAD frequently died with a black window after right-clicking into the rendering in Ubuntu. The bug was fixed in the repo but there has been no new release since 2021. I cloned the repo, installed the dependencies using the included scripts and had the whole thing compiled and running within minutes. Very cool! Thanks, #openscad !
