"content": "please see my other reply. reasonable people can tell the difference between two guys discussing politics at a bar and a third screaming slurs and threats at them. the third guy might get so bad, the two have to move. on the fedi, without server blocks, the third guy can change ID and follow them anywhere. he can tell all his friends to join in. that's not the discourse we want.\n\nand I agree some lefties don't want people to ever disagree. I oppose that too. but it's different.",
