The spiritual makeup of food is just as important as the nutritional makeup. Sure the average soylent consoomer or huelhead is healthier than the average king or queen of burgerstan. They probably aren't too gaunt or bulbous and probably do well on blood tests, but they are hollow and destitute next to the average stewchad or hunter gatherer or subsistence farmer who lives off of milk and potatoes and milk again.
