Speaking of rest, a little story on rest and #plurality …
Yesterday I was putting away laundry, happpily jamming some music on my headphones and dancing and just having the best time possible doing mundane housework. I was nearing the end of 🧺 #3 when I started to feel a little bored so I put in an internal request for any music any of the headmates might want to listen to and Light Grenades by Incubus was selected.
So we’re finishing up the last bit of laundry enjoying an Incubus album that we listened to a lot in college and I just start yawning over and over like I just can’t stop yawning. And then it dawns on me that the yawns are just college me being stuck in there feeling *so fucking tired* that she can’t stop yawning and she really doesn’t want to do any more laundry. So I speak to her out loud and say “it’s ok, we understand. We know you are so tired but it’s ok. You can rest. We got this.” I felt my whole body heave such a huge sigh of relief just then. 👩👩👧
