they will be miniature versions of full size pastry lattice or double crust fruit pies. I don't have a favorite recipe, but I do think canned fruit filling is anathema, so I reduce fresh or frozen fruit.

The closest to hand pies that I make are turnovers, but I think puff pastry is best for those.
