My friends, Ben and Jess died in a car accident on December 29th. Their 4 kids were in the car with them. The bolder children were hurt, the younger children just had bumps and scratches. Ben was a forester with me for years and his wife was our wildlife biologist. Her parents were killed in 2018 in a similar crash. Ben was an only child. His parents have temporary custody of the 2 younger children, and her ex has the older 2.
