Taught us that the koran, torah, etc can be subbed in for a bible. Judges allow it because the purpose is an attestation to swear by what is \"holy\"/sacred to someone, hopefully to help them tell the truth. Regardless what they use, IF they lie, and the prosecutor can prove it? The witness is subject to charges including contempt of court.",
