Reports about the distance from which Darwin essayed his cannonball aimed at Sparta Praha's goal vary in measurement, from forty yards, to thirty yards (according to Goal dot com), to something like 25 metres (according to the San Diego Tribune).
Regardless, it did seem distant enough from the target point where the ball entered the goal, from a number of metres outside of the big box.
