The ONLY thing that's worked in our favor during this multi year nightmare was the insane housing prices in TX last year. Selling our TX home financed us being able to move (in a rental RV) and get a smaller place in upstate NY. 2 adults, 2 cats, and a 130 lb dog in a rental RV, on a 3 day exodus, was an experience, specially since only one of us can drive now.

It was worth it getting here.
