You’re talking to someone who was never once paid fairly in a non union environment. I’m not a business owner, so I never see the upside or leveraging of talent a business owner does. I literally cannot afford to work non union jobs and survive long term. I would not get mad at workers, but rather ask why it’s so bad for employees right now.
Now, without the union, we would potentially get paid even less than small businesses because the large companies could get away with it. Unions are sometimes the only way laborers have even a meager shot at a stable life. It’s a powerful safeguard against a race to the bottom given the current labor market.
But yes, I wish I had my own thing and could make millions. We all do. It’s just not that practical.
