Almost every year, I put some eggs in the incubator on January 1. New Year's chicks! They are supposed to hatch on Jan 22, but as usual, I got a few early birds this year.

Most of the other chicks have only pipped (poked a small hole in their shell) at this point and should finish hatching tomorrow. (It usually takes 12 - 24 hours from pip to hatch.)

The photo is very orange because of the light from the red heat lamp.
