Given that we’ve forgotten how bad COVID was in just a few years, I shouldn’t be surprised that we’ve forgotten how bad polio was. But I won’t forget. My aunt had polio as a kid and walked with a limp because one leg was distinctly thinner and weaker than the other. And she considered herself lucky because she survived.
