As a Christian (a long long time ago) I remember seeing films and shows where the story was of a collection of sailors or explorers go to a remote island or part of the jungle and they found a remote primitive tribe sacrificing an innocent person to appease their deity. But it never once occurred to me back then that this is actually the doctrine of Christianity ✝️. An innocent man had to be sacrificed at the ‘altar’ for the sins of mankind to be forgiven. It’s weird how the Christian’s can’t see the parallel between the following two statements:
1) God needed the sacrifice of His son to prevent him from punishing mankind
2) The tribesmen had to sacrifice this innocent child to appease their god and prevent his punishment and anger upon them
Think about it…
