So the PS5 is going UP IN PRICE in Japan???
"The price tag has been increased from ¥66,980 (around $462) to ¥79,980 (around $552) for the standard and from ¥59,980 (around $414) to ¥72,980 (around $504) for the digital-only. This change will go into effect September 2."
And this is pretty much happening before thr PS5 Pro is supposed to be announced... What?
The only thing that would make sense here is if Sony wants to scare people into buying the remaining stock now, hope they caught a few idiots to double down on a Pro after, and/or clear stock so that the Pro becomes the only model or something
But a price increase, this late in the gen, is insane and unheard of. It's almost as if they want to get steamrolled
