For a while now our 7 year old toilet has been leaking a trickle once it has filled the cistern. Finally managed to figure out how to remove the fitted paneling to get to it
What's wrong... The ball cock mounting is plastic, it's fatigued and broken away at the back of the cistern.

Is it too much to ask for things like this to last more than 7 years? Or are my expectations way too high?
