One very basic option would be to see if there's anywhere from which I could buy a significant volume of permissive / public domain / Creative Commons-licensed music, and simply putting that on shuffle.
i.e. not buying and downloading one or two albums at a time, as that doesn't scale, time-wise, but downloading a lot as one job.
The Internet Archive has some great collections (
