Y’know I’m not sure. However when I went back to 22.04.5 the update system still tried to move me to 24.04.2 (Noble Numbnut is what I’ll call it). On pristine installation the upgrade left Ubuntu 22.04 unusable… likely due to the move to Wayland .. ultimately the solve for me was go to Jammy - do NOT upgrade to Numbnut and tell it never try..
