"content": "Someone asked me privately how I got the image without banding on the CRT (see attached example). I don't have a camera which allows me to synchronize the shutter speed to the refresh rate. I've found that if I take a video on my phone in the right lighting (not overly bright), the video won't have the banding artifacts. Instead it will have some tearing. I can extract a single frame to get a reasonable shot, albeit lower res than a picture.
