Content for the LA remark in the first toot:
The first time I went to a real post facility in LA was in the 2000s, and I was shocked to see that the (Avid) editor was actually using a Mac running System 9.
That wasn’t an aberration.
Having spent years with FCP running on OSX, visiting these shops made me feel like I had just traveled backward from the future.
It was an interesting lesson about the economics of Post in the TV/Film biz.
