Less than 10,000 blocks ago there were people, even bitcoiners, calling for a fork to the #bitcoin protocol to address something that the protocol and fee market were already designed to handle, which is economically inefficient use of block space. All that was needed was patience and little bit of understanding of the nature of bitcoin. It is sad how quickly some will jump to centralized decision making when their little zone of comfort is infiltrated, and it is yet another testament to the need for the power to change the rules of the money to be decentralized.
