Today's #CardSneakPeek is a money-earning card called "Liquidate the Hard Fork", because that's what you do with new shitcoins created by hard forking Bitcoin; you liquidate that bullshit right back into bitcoin.
###
#130 - Liquidate the Hard Fork
"Liquidate the Hard Fork" is a Mempool Action card, costs nothing to play, and earns its controlling Player 2 bitcoin when it is included in a Block.
There are only a few cards in the game that earn or give a player money directly, and this is one of them. "Liquidate the Hard Fork" simulates receiving a bunch of new shitcoin from a Bitcoin hard fork and then liquidating them for bitcoin.
Rarity: "Liquidate the Hard Fork" is Common in the Core 2025 set. While actual hard forks are less common nowadays, in the past they were far too common. These should pull frequently from starter decks and booster packs so you'll probably have plenty to play with and trade.
The "Liquidate the Hard Fork" card is of the Mempool Action type. Mempool Actions are played into a mempool of waiting actions and their Effects don't resolve until they are included in a mined Block at the end of the round. Whoever mines the Block gets to choose what Mempool Actions are included in it.
Who gets to mine the Block at the end of the round is determined by whoever has collected the most hashrate that round. Whoever mines the Block gets to choose what Mempool Actions are included in it and are resolved.
Strategy: The "Liquidate the Hard Fork" card is effectively just free money, and so nearly every deck should probably have the maximum number of these cards allowed in it, along with the other direct money cards. It takes money to make money, so get all you can for free!
In short, the "Liquidate the Hard Fork" card is useful in nearly every deck strategy as it is effectively free money... You may just have to wait until it gets mined into a Block to claim it.
