I just gave handed my almost four year old son his own sharp knife so he can cut vegetables in Kindergarten for the Thanksgiving soup. From when they are four years old they are allowed to use tools, saws and knifes in the forest to play. 6 hours in the forest every day, using real tools, no toys and no fake stuff. Private kindergarten rules.
