Personally, I don't see it as being much different from the move to Microsoft Word by the general public for typographic and graphic design tasks. Yes, it put a lot of people out of jobs, but it didn't change the landscape of layout and publishing except to democratize work. This will put a lot of artists out of work. Creation of high concept work will be faster and easier as it was when Quark, Corel, and Photoshop came on the scene.
