So I've been dizzy since November, constantly, and had ear ringing and pulling, and I've been doctor-hopping since January to find the problem.
At the end of September I got a reasonable diagnosis (PPPD), but I felt like something wasn't quite adding up. So I went ahead with my Oct. 7 lumbar puncture, which showed too much pressure in CSF (brain juice). My neurologist scheduled a followup for Oct. 14 and an MRV (MRI concentrating on blood vessels) for the 12th. She got the results by our appointment and asked if I had time to go to the ER to see a neuro ophthalmologist, so I did. They admitted me.
Turns out I had one stubby vessel and one collapsed vessel draining fluid, which is why the pressure was high. The surgeon placed a stent in my head, and I just got out of the hospital today. I'm one big bruise, and I still don't feel like eating much, but I AM NOT DIZZY for the first time in almost a year.
Bloodwork is still a little weird, but that is a problem for another day. I could have dropped dead because of a problem nobody knew about two weeks ago, but instead they fucking just ... fixed it. I'm still a bit shook.
