I might go back on my earlier promise to cut way down on my criticism of generative tools (“AI”). I’ still hearing folks say that “it’s inevitable” so that even if it’s crap, we better dive in head first and get ahead.

This is nonsense. Diving in head first is not what you do with crap.

This is what marketing does to normal people when megacorps spend hundreds of billions of dollars on a failure. They try to brainwash their way out.

Counteracting the marketing is still necessary.
