And we only get the outcome of any story if it involves a trial - especially one with gruesome details to rehash however many years later. Saying the fire is out and rebuilding has started, rebuilding has finished people are doing well/badly/whatever is apparently boring. Same with Maui. And Turkey earthquakes and... everything!
