UPDATE: I was not able to speak with Senator Lummis one-on-one for an extended period of time last night, but I spoke with her counsel and head of comms (in person) to set up a meeting with the Senator specifically to discuss transactional privacy as it pertains to Bitcoin and digital assets.
In my comms with her team today, I mentioned her amendment to the NDAA bill and said that I’d like to learn more about how she thinks it will be best to combat illicit finance with digital assets while still preserving personal privacy.
I will report via TheBitcoinConf (nprofile…f4jx) once I speak with the Senator on this topic.
