I’ve now seen TWO separate #people say this so let me be as clear as I can be here: saying “don’t call for a permanent #ceasefire because it’s not the most perfect option” shows that you’re speaking from a place of incredible privilege and you should stop saying that immediately. We can call for a ceasefire and an end to the #occupation at the same time, but an end to the occupation is much more complicated and far less likely to happen in the immediate future. We should not stop asking for people to not be bombed just because it doesn’t fix every problem. Stay loud about a permanent ceasefire. An end of the occupation is a great goal, but the people being slaughtered in the streets on a daily basis are the priority here. #Anyone who doesn’t care about anything less than the complete end of #Israeli occupation doesn’t actually care about #Palestinian lives.
