Hello #BikeTooter folks! We have some vacancies in this year's #LondonToAmsterdamRide, if you have free time for some #cycling over the next week or so!
https://zork.net/amsterdam/#dates has the dates (3rd or 4th through 10th August) and links to the route, as well as an old manual from previous years. You can join us Saturday 3rd August 2024 at Parliament Square at 7am, Greenwich Observatory around 08:30, Canterbury either in the evening of the 3rd or early morning on the 4th, or Dover on Sunday midday/afternoon. We've had people join in Dunkerque, so if you're in (say) #Belge and want to join us midway, that's cool as well!
The cost of accommodations is £350 for all our hostels for the week, but you're on your own once we hit Amsterdam on the 10th. You'll also need to book a ferry from Dover to Dunkerque, which I can help you with (alas, their system won't let us group book with bicycles), and your own transport home (I take an overnight ferry from Hoek van Holland to Harwich, but there are loads of options).
We do have plans for a van to get some peoples' #bikes back from #Amsterdam to #London, and the cost for that service will be £65 if you take that up. It does make it easier to just hop a Eurostar back at your leisure.
I'm available to answer any questions if you're considering it but unsure, as I've ridden every year since we started the ride in 2016. Happy to chat over Signal or telegram or directed messages here, as well.
Obviously this is last-minute, so if you can't join in but this seems fun, then keep a pin on this thread and I'll announce next year's on the #EalesRide tag.
