Yes, when people talk about the recent bought of #inflation, I tend to suggest that actually what we're seeing is inflation bring out of assets (both housing & securities) where it is treated as 'growth' and entering everyday transactions where it is suddenly seen as inflation....
Of course, after QE one could use asset price inflation as a support for a monetarist explanation of inflation, and argue it has merely been hidden by statistical sleight of hand...
