Woke up to an email about being eligible to submit a claim for a share of a $2.8 billion settlement in a class action antitrust lawsuit against BlueCross BlueShield for price fixing. So that’s exciting. There’s a hearing in July to determine if this is a “fair” amount so who knows how it’ll proceed but I’ll be submitting. Granted only 8% goes to small practices like mine, 92% goes to hospital systems because of course it does. I need to read more on the timing of this and see if it coincides with BCBS substantially raising my reimbursement rates in the last 4 years after leaving them flat for 8. Gee I wonder 😂
