#Ukraine negotiates plans with #UnitedKingdom to train 5-7 thousands students each year to improve skills of civil servants, Ukraine ambassador to UK Zaluzhny reports.
As someone who worked with UK public sector for the last decade I see this as a brilliant move. Public administration in the UK is usually very competent, pragmatic and user friendly.
The only challenge I see is the fact that UK has an entirely different legal system based on common law, which facilitates some of the pragmatism I mentioned, but is entirely different than more prescriptive mainland law system, on which Ukraine also mostly operates. But in terms of business processes, UK administration is very effective and there’s plenty to learn.
