This whole story is ridiculous. There's a varietal of potato it's illegal to grow commercially because it's difficult to harvest and doesn't keep well in well-lit areas and a farm coop is getting fined for working around those limitations and selling it. But the peak absurd detail is you can visit a Government of Canada website and see the potato's official status is "cancelled."
