Google's new AI, Genie, can create games by using a single image as an initial frame of animation, and then predicting future frames based on player actions. While Genie is a proof of concept right now, it has the potential to create a diverse range of virtual environments in which to train other AI. As Jeff Clune, paper author and an associate professor of computer science at the University of British Columbia, stated on X: “Don’t forget: This is the worst it will ever get.
