On the third party ecosystem I think the LEAST we could do is prominently link to DjangoChat, Awesome Django, DjangoPackages and the like. With a loose approval process more on the order of getting added to the community RSS feed.
Shouldn’t be controversial at this point and a pretty easy lift. Happy to help put it on the site myself if the help is needed.
