That strategy might possibly work, but bitcoin is extremely volatile and a temporary dip in price could result in a margin call that forces you to sell all your bitcoin to cover the margin - so there's definitely a failure mode to that strategy.

Buying BTC on leverage, IMHO is not the best hodling strategy as it creates circumstances where the decision to sell might be outside your power.
